About the Role
<h3><strong>Role</strong></h3>
<p>We’re seeking a <strong>CAD Engineer</strong> with <strong>HVAC or mechanical building services</strong> experience to join a well-established contractor based in <strong>Manchester</strong>.</p>
<p>This is an <strong>interactive, office-based role</strong> where you’ll work closely with engineers and project managers to produce accurate <strong>2D AutoCAD</strong> drawings and assist in the integration of <strong>air conditioning and ventilation systems</strong> into project designs.</p>
<p>You’ll be more than just a CAD operator – this role suits someone who enjoys being part of the design conversation and has the confidence to help shape layouts and solutions.</p>
</p>
<p><strong>Key responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Produce and update <strong>2D AutoCAD</strong> drawings for AC and ventilation projects</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Assist in the coordination of mechanical services layouts</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Work collaboratively with project teams to ensure designs are practical and accurate</p>
</li>
</ul>

<h3><strong>Package</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>
<p><strong>Salary £28,000 to £35,000 per annum</strong>, dependent on experience</p>
</li>
<li>Office-based</li>
<li>
<p>Opportunity to work on varied and technically interesting HVAC projects</p>
</li>
<li>20 days holiday increasing to 25 with service</li>
<li>
<p>Supportive environment within a growing specialist contractor</p>
</li>
<li>8% pension (3% employee, 4% employer, 1% top-up)</li>

<h3><strong>Requirements</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Proven experience as a <strong>CAD Engineer</strong>, <strong>CAD Technician</strong>, or <strong>Draughtsman</strong> within <strong>HVAC, mechanical, or building services</strong></p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Proficient in <strong>2D AutoCAD</strong></p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Strong understanding of <strong>air conditioning and ventilation systems</strong></p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Comfortable contributing to design and coordination work, not just drafting</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Must be <strong>commutable to North East Manchester</strong></p>
</li>
