About the Role

We are currently working with a Local Authority in the South West who are looking for an interim EHCP Partner to join their team.

You will lead the delivery of statutory SEND services ensuring high-quality Education, Health and Care assessment, planning, and review processes for children and young people aged 0–25. The correct candidate will manage a specialist team and work collaboratively with schools, families, health, and social care partners to improve outcomes, promote inclusion, and ensure compliance with SEND legislation.

Duration: 6 Months

Start date: ASAP

Rate: £250 per day via Umbrella, Inside IR35

Site presence: Hybrid

 

Role Details

  • Coordinate and manage EHC assessments, plans, and reviews for a dedicated caseload, ensuring statutory deadlines and quality standards are met
  • Work collaboratively with families, schools, health professionals, and partner agencies to co-produce high-quality Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
  • Apply a relational practice approach, building trust and effective communication with children, young people, and their families
  • Ensure EHCPs are legally compliant, accurately drafted, and reflective of individual needs to minimise the risk of legal challenge
  • Monitor and review plans regularly, ensuring provision remains appropriate, effective, and outcome-focused
  • Provide guidance and support to professionals involved in SEND statutory processes, promoting best practice and continuous improvement
  • Maintain accurate records and performance data to support statutory reporting and service monitoring
  • Act as a key point of contact for schools, parents, and external agencies regarding SEND processes and provision

Requirements

  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience in SEND, education, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and statutory processes, including the Children and Families Act 2014 and SEND Code of Practice 2015
  • Experience working with children and young people with SEND and collaborating with families and multi-agency professionals
  • Excellent report writing, organisational, and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage complex caseloads, conflicting priorities, and statutory deadlines effectively
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the confidence to handle sensitive situations and complex discussions
  • High level of ICT proficiency, including Microsoft 365 and database systems
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach with a commitment to co-production, inclusion, and improving outcomes for children and young people
