About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Qualified Social Worker to join our Assessment & Short Term Intervention Team in Birmingham. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of children and families in our community. As a Senior QSW, you will lead assessments, provide short-term interventions, and collaborate with multi-agency partners to deliver exceptional support to those in need.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify needs and risks.
Developing and implementing effective short-term intervention plans.
Supervising and mentoring junior social workers and students, fostering professional development.
Collaborating with external agencies, schools, and healthcare providers to ensure coordinated support.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in line with regulatory requirements.
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
Current registration with Social Work England.
At least 2 years of post-qualification experience in child protection or related fields.
Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to working collaboratively.
