General Manager Transport

<p>A long-established distributor of specialist consumer goods is looking to for Transport &amp; Distribution Manager to lead the transport operations at<br /> reporting to the Operations Director North.<br /> Unionised environment.</p> <p>As Transport and Distribution Manager you will directly oversee both the transport of the business, responsible for a team of -warehouse<br /> 35 drivers as well as 85 warehouse operatives.</p> <p>A large part of your role will be ensuring the business remains compliant with O License and VOSA requirements, putting in place new systems and procedures where necessary. You will also regularly liaise with customers on service delivery matters, ensuring expectations are understood and met.</p> <p>To be successful in this role you will be a versatile and adaptable individual with substantial experience in a transport manager role, preferably with additional knowledge or experience in warehouse management. Communication skills are key, and experience of working in a family business or SME environment will be an advantage.
