<p><strong>The Role</strong></p>
<p>On behalf of our client, we are seeking a <strong>Legal Assistant / Legal Secretary for their Property Law team</strong>. In this proactive and organised role, you will support one Residential Property Solicitor and one Commercial Property Solicitor within a busy property department. This is a varied and hands-on position, ideal for someone with property law experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple tasks efficiently.</p>
<p>Responsibilities within this role will include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Sending out quotes to prospective clients.</li>
<li>Opening new files and carrying out client due diligence, including ID checks and AML compliance.</li>
<li>Preparing and issuing client care letters and terms of engagement.</li>
<li>Liaising with clients to obtain initial documentation and information.</li>
<li>Assisting with a range of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion.</li>
<li>Supporting on commercial property transactions as required.</li>
<li>Preparing contract packs and legal documentation.</li>
<li>Ordering searches and managing search results.</li>
<li>Drafting standard correspondence and documents.</li>
<li>Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders, and third parties.</li>
<li>Submitting SDLT returns.</li>
<li>Dealing with Land Registry applications.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>The Person</strong></p>
<p>The ideal candidate is proactive, organised, and comfortable working in a busy environment supporting multiple fee-earners. <strong>Post Completion experience is ESSENTIAL</strong></p>

<ul>
<li>Experience in residential conveyancing (essential).</li>
<li>Commercial property experience (desirable).</li>
<li>Strong understanding of the conveyancing process.</li>
<li>Familiarity with Land Registry and SDLT submissions.</li>
<li>Excellent organisational and time management skills.</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>The Salary</strong></p>
<p>£26-32,000</p>

<p><strong>The Hours</strong></p>
<p>Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm</p>
