Remote

We are seeking a Maritime Civil Capital Cost Estimator for a remote assignment out of St. Louis, Missouri. The selected candidate will review design documents, proposals, specifications and drawings, and attend design development meetings, to assess the risk and cost impacts required to develop the estimates.


Hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Responsibilities
- Develop capital cost estimates for heavy civil/marine type projects
- Develop project work breakdown structures
- Calculate complete scope of work take-offs
- Assist contracts staff with statements of work for subcontractors and vendors
- Calculate indirect field and owner’s costs
- Review contractor proposals for various procurement types
- Review and validate change orders
- Interface with external clients in the presentation of capital costs
- Apply construction means and methods
- Maintain organized and detailed files, project records and logs
- Attend project meetings as required


Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 10 - 15+ years of estimating and construction experience
- Project experience focused on piers, dry docks, flood walls, breakwaters and other maritime civil development
- Experience with MII (MCACES 2nd generation) or HCSS Heavy Bid estimating software is highly preferred
- Certifications such as a CPE, CEP, CCP, PMP or CCM are highly preferred
- US Citizen
