We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Drilling Operations First Line Supervisor I to oversee daily rig site activities, ensure safety, and optimize performance on high-stakes onshore wells. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to work with industry leaders, directly impact drilling success, and develop your leadership skills in a fast-paced environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Supervise on-site drilling activities, ensuring strict adherence to well plans and safety protocols.
- Lead daily operations, communicate progress effectively to senior management, and implement the client’s well program flawlessly.
- Optimize drilling performance using real-time data, making adjustments to improve efficiency.
- Coordinate with contractors, equipment, and service providers, proactively developing contingency plans to maintain continuous operations.
- Monitor drilling fluids and cementing processes to uphold quality standards, while managing daily costs to ensure cost-effective operations.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of drilling engineering and well operations experience, with extensive onshore, unconventional expertise.
- Proven leadership ability to supervise rig site activities and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills to relay technical information clearly and efficiently.
- Ability to analyze real-time data and make informed operational decisions.
- Knowledge of drilling fluids, cementing, and wellsite safety protocols.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working with multiple contractors and service providers.
- Familiarity with cost management and budgeting in a drilling environment.
- Additional technical certifications related to drilling operations or safety.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Relevant experience in lieu of a degree will also be considered.
