Summary
The Lead Lifeguard is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the pool area, including monitoring attendants, managing pool-side equipment, and ensuring adherence to safety and community rules.
The Lead Lifeguard provides exemplary service in a manner consistent with the values and mission of the Castle Group. He or she performs all responsibilities while demonstrating outstanding customer service skills representative of Castle Royal Service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and support lifeguards and pool attendants in their daily tasks and responsibilities.
- Ensure that lifeguards and pool attendants monitor the pool area, remaining approachable and accessible to residents/guests.
- Enforce Association rules and regulations specific to amenity use.
- Assist with setup and breakdown of poolside activities and manage event logistics as needed.
- Train and guide lifeguards and pool attendants in customer service, safety procedures, and community policies.
- Document and submit incident reports to Management in a timely manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and order around the pool area, addressing any maintenance concerns.
- Ensure all poolside equipment is safe and operational, coordinating repairs or replacements with Management.
- Manage the inventory of pool equipment and amenities, ensuring they are available and in good condition.
- Set up beach chairs, umbrellas, and other amenities, as needed.
- Make safety announcements and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- May supervise at least one or more lifeguards and/or pool attendant(s).

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalency required.
- An active lifeguard license is required.
- 2+ year in hospitality or a similar position with some knowledge of managing inventory, indirect supervisory responsibilities.
- Prior experience as a lifeguard or pool attendant or in a related field is preferred.
