About the Role

This role focuses on the deployment, configuration, and optimization of both the Tanium platform to ensure enterprise-wide visibility and endpoint security compliance. The ideal candidate has deep technical expertise in automated patching, vulnerability management, and federal security standards.</span></span><br />

<li><span><span><span><b>Vulnerability Management & ACAS Operations:</b></span></span></span>
<ul>
<li><span><span><span><b>Tanium Vulnerability Remediation:</b> Execute targeted enterprise-wide remediation efforts, such as fixing multiple vulnerabilities in third-party applications across the endpoint landscape.</span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span><b>Automated Software Compliance:</b> Enforce security policies by managing utility installations to ensure secure, credentialed access.</span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span><b>STIG & Configuration Management:</b> Ensure strict adherence to federal security standards by implementing Tanium STIGs.</span></span></span></li>

<li><span><span><span><b>Tanium Platform Operations:</b></span></span></span>
<ul>
<li><span><span><span>Maintain and operate the <b>Tanium virtual appliance</b> to ensure platform health and security.</span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span>Execute targeted remediation efforts, such as <b>fixing multiple vulnerabilities in Python</b> across the endpoint landscape.</span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span>Manage software compliance by overseeing utility installations (e.g., <b>removing standard Putty while maintaining Putty CAC</b>).</span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span>Review and manage the software catalog, including evaluating potential additions to the <b>Tanium Self-Service Client</b>.</span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span>Manage and <b>install new Tanium license files</b> and configure <b>Tanium Client exports to DFS</b> for streamlined data management.</span></span></span></li>
</ul>
</li>
<li><span><span><span><b>Compliance & Automated Patching:</b></span></span></span>
<ul>
<li><span><span><span>Support the <b>patching and configuration of Windows and Linux operating systems</b>, as well as various third-party applications.</span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span>Ensure strict adherence to federal security standards by <b>completing all Tanium STIGs</b> (Security Technical Implementation Guides).</span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span><b>Create and manage new reports</b>, specifically for <b>AD Email Management</b>, to provide leadership with actionable security intelligence.</span></span></span></li>

<span><span><b>Required Qualifications</b></span></span>
<ul>
<li><span><span><span><b>Experience:</b> Minimum of <b>five (5) years of experience in Cybersecurity</b>, specifically performing the patching and configuration of <b>Windows and Linux operating systems</b> and third-party applications.</span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span><b>Platform Expertise:</b></span></span></span>
<ul>
<li><span><span><span>Demonstrated experience operating <b>Tanium</b> in an enterprise environment (specifically utilizing the virtual appliance).</span></span></span></li>
</ul>
</li>
<li><span><span><span><b>Technical Proficiency:</b></span></span></span>

<li><span><span><span>Familiarity with <b>DOD cybersecurity frameworks</b> and compliance standards (e.g., CMMC, C2C).</span></span></span></li>
<li><span><span><span>Strong understanding of scripting (Python, PowerShell) for vulnerability remediation.</span></span></span></li>
</ul>

<li><span><span><span><b>Certification Required:</b> Minimum Security+ CE. Higher relevant certifications will be given preferred status.</span></span></span></li>
