We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.<h2>Could This Be For You: </h2>Fillauer is searching for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Chattanooga, TN. This position is responsible for leading complex engineering initiatives focused on optimizing manufacturing processes, tooling, and equipment performance. The Manufacturing Engineer partners closely with production, design engineering, and quality teams to drive continuous improvement and innovation in manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will use sound judgement and outside resources to adapt to non-routine aspects of a problem.<h2>Your Impact: </h2><ul style="margin-top: 0in;"><li>Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes, fixtures, and tooling to support production goals and ensure repeatable, high-quality output.</li><li>Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues, ensuring timely resolution and process documentation.</li><li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing, waste reduction, and process optimization.</li><li>Collaborate with design engineering to support new product introductions (NPI), ensuring manufacturability and smooth transition to production.</li><li>Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard work instructions, setup sheets, and process flow diagrams.</li><li>Identify opportunities for automation or process enhancements to improve productivity and cost efficiency.</li><li>Support capital equipment projects, including justification, specification, and implementation.</li><li>Maintain proper methods of manufacturing and ERP inputs to support production</li></ul><h2>Minimum Qualifications:</h2><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field).</li><li>Experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to define and communicate the allowable variations in the geometry of parts and assemblies.</li><li>Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and manufacturing best practices.</li><li>Demonstrated success in implementing process improvements and leading cross-functional initiatives.</li><li>Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.</li></ul><h2>Additional Success Factors:</h2><ul style="margin-top: 0in;"><li>Experience in medical devices or precision manufacturing environments.</li><li>Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.</li><li>Familiarity with GD&T, blueprint reading, and process validation methods.</li></ul><h2>Our Investment In You:</h2><ul><li>Competitive Compensation Packages</li><li>8 Paid National Holidays & 4 additional Floating Holidays</li><li>PTO that includes Vacation and Sick time</li><li>Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits</li><li>401k Savings and Retirement Plan</li><li>Paid Parental Bonding Leave for New Parents</li><li>Flexible Work Schedules and Part-time Opportunities</li><li>Generous Employee Referral Bonus Program</li><li>Mentorship Programs- Mentor and Mentee</li><li>Student Loan Repayment Assistance by Location</li><li>Relocation Assistance</li><li>Regional & National traveling CPO/CO/CP opportunities</li><li>Volunteering for Local and National events such as Hanger’s BAKA Bootcamp and EmpowerFest</li></ul> Hanger, Inc. is committed to providing equal employment opportunity in all aspects of the employer-employee relationship.
