Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Administrator III to support and maintain a complex enterprise infrastructure environment. This role is responsible for day-to-day administration of server, storage, virtualization, and backup systems across multiple operating environments. The position requires strong troubleshooting skills, sound technical judgment, and the ability to interpret policies, procedures, and technical guidelines when resolving infrastructure issues.
Key Responsibilities
Administer and support enterprise server environments including Linux/Unix and Windows platforms.
Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot infrastructure systems to ensure reliability and performance.
Install, configure, patch, and maintain server operating systems and infrastructure software.
Support SAN/NAS storage environments and enterprise backup and recovery systems.
Perform backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures.
Support and maintain VMware virtualization environments, including VDI and VSAN architectures.
Assist with cloud infrastructure deployments and migrations, including Infrastructure-as-a-Service environments.
Administer and troubleshoot enterprise Linux systems and container platforms.
Provide advanced support for enterprise desktop and endpoint infrastructure.
Serve as a technical lead on infrastructure projects including system design, testing, and implementation.
Collaborate with technical teams and end users to resolve issues and improve infrastructure operations.
Required Knowledge & Technical Expertise
Enterprise Linux/Unix administration
Windows Server and Active Directory administration
VMware infrastructure and virtualization technologies
SAN/NAS storage administration
Enterprise backup and recovery systems
Networking technologies and infrastructure fundamentals
Systems analysis, testing, configuration management, and performance monitoring
Desired Experience
Enterprise Linux distributions and Unix environments
Container platforms such as OpenShift
Enterprise storage platforms (e.g., Dell/EMC SAN/NAS)
Cloud infrastructure platforms such as Azure IaaS or Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
Supporting centralized enterprise backup solutions
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field and 4+ years of relevant experience, or
Master’s degree in a related field and 2+ years of relevant experience
Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
