Final compensation and position level will be determined by factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Within the Finance Department, several specialized departments contribute to its overall mission: Controller, Revenue Management, Strategic Sourcing, Tax, Treasury, and Strategic Studies. Each department is vital in managing BNSF's financial health and strategic financial planning. These departments work collaboratively to secure BNSF's economic stability and support its growth and innovation within the railway industry. This is a full-time position located in Fort Worth, TX. For certain positions, including this one, employees can work one day per week remotely. Travel is possible as determined by business need but typically less than 5%This position will work primarily with Operations stakeholders to deliver on the Strategic Sourcing Vision and create a lower Total Cost of Ownership structure. The role will also support in the development and execution of supplier management strategies. Key responsibilities may include: Responsible for supplier, material, purchase, & contract transactions of $250M+ per yearAdministration of contracts, including billing and payment of material and servicesInterfaces closely with internal stakeholders in Operations, Finance, Sourcing, Law, and BNSF Tech, as well as external suppliers and service providers.Identify, implement, and execute process improvementsDevelopment and execution of BNSF strategies in support of $9B Sourcing supplier spend Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs The duties and responsibilities in this posting are representative categories to be used in deciding whether to apply for this position.
