Teaching Assistant (SEND) - Primary - Elland

About the Role:

Justteachers is recruiting an enthusiastic SEND Teaching Assistant for a long-term supply role in a primary school in Elland, starting in September. The school is recognised for its strong community values and child-centred approach, providing a supportive and engaging learning environment where pupils are encouraged to develop confidence, independence and a love of learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support pupils with additional learning and behavioural needs.
• Deliver targeted interventions under the guidance of teaching staff.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Monitor and record pupil progress and wellbeing.
• Liaise effectively with teachers, parents and support staff.

Pre-requisites:

• Experience working with children with SEND is desirable.
• Good understanding of primary education and inclusive practices.
• Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
• Excellent safeguarding knowledge and practice.
• Ability to provide two education-based references.
