A great opportunity has just become available with our client based in Gillingham, Dorset. The company are well established and steadily growing, having been in operation for 50+ years, boasting an impressive portfolio of customers across various sectors. You will form a crucial part of a small but talented design department, you will be managing projects from concept to completion - all design work will be completed using Solidworks - Big opportunities to progress with this company!

Core responsibilites:

• Develop new products from concept to production using 3D CAD and detailed drawings.
• Produce accurate BOMs and support full lifecycle coordination across teams.
• Develop and produce prototype samples.
• Work closely with other departments, such as the Metal shop.
• Adhere to Quality control guidelines.
• Support bespoke builds and ensure compliance with quality and ISO standards.

What we are looking for:

• Degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering or Similar
• Proven experience within a Mechanical Design team.
• Experienced with 3d CAD Modelling softwares such as Solidworks.
• Capable of working on multiple projects simultaneously.
