Reliability Test Engineer I
Pay: $48-$54
Location: Union City
We are seeking a hands-on Reliability Test Engineer to support reliability, validation, and product characterization testing for consumer electronics, medical devices, and autonomous systems. This role involves laboratory testing, environmental simulations, data analysis, and equipment support in a fast-paced testing environment.
Responsibilities
- Execute reliability and validation testing, including shock, vibration, drop, thermal, and transit testing.
- Set up and operate laboratory equipment, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.
- Conduct environmental simulations and customer-specific test profiles.
- Analyze test data, identify deviations, and document results.
- Maintain detailed test documentation, SOPs, and quality records.
- Support equipment maintenance, calibration, and validation activities.
- Communicate project status and test results with customers and internal teams.
- Follow laboratory safety, quality, and operational standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
- 5–7 years of laboratory testing or product reliability experience.
- Familiarity with ASTM/ISTA standards, failure analysis, and material science.
- Experience with vibration systems, thermal chambers, high-speed video, and data acquisition tools.
- Knowledge of CAD fundamentals and 3D printing preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
