SAP JVA Package Specialist — SAP HANA FIN JVA
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced SAP Joint Venture Accounting (JVA) Consultant to join a high-impact S/4HANA programme. The successful candidate will bring deep functional expertise in JVA processes within SAP, with the ability to configure, test, and support end-to-end joint venture accounting solutions in a complex, multi-entity environment. This role operates within the Finance workstream and requires strong cross-module integration capability, particularly across FI and CO.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and implement SAP JVA solutions within an S/4HANA landscape
- Manage and optimise cutback processing, ensuring accurate cost and revenue allocation across venture partners
- Set up and maintain equity groups, venture definitions, and partner hierarchies within the JVA module
- Perform period-end closing activities related to joint venture accounting, including billing and reporting
- Collaborate with FI and CO functional leads to ensure seamless cross-module integration and data consistency
- Conduct gap analysis, prepare functional specifications, and translate business requirements into SAP configuration
- Support UAT, defect resolution, and knowledge transfer to client teams
- Produce and maintain configuration documentation, functional design documents, and test scripts
Required Experience & Skills
- Proven track record as an SAP JVA consultant, with at least one full-cycle S/4HANA implementation
- Deep expertise in Joint Venture Accounting — venture setup, equity group configuration, cutback processing, and JV billing
- Strong understanding of SAP FI (GL, AP, AR) and CO (cost centres, internal orders, COPA) and how these modules integrate with JVA
- Experience with period-end close processes in an SAP environment
- Ability to engage directly with finance stakeholders and translate business requirements into functional solutions
- Familiarity with S/4HANA Finance architecture and data model changes relative to ECC
Advantageous
- Experience in the oil & gas, mining, or energy sector — industries where JVA is most commonly deployed
- Portuguese language proficiency (must be stated explicitly on CV or covering note if applicable)
- Exposure to SAP Fiori apps relevant to the Finance and JVA workstream
