Year 2 Teacher - Spalding

About the role:

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Year 2 Teacher to join a large and welcoming primary school in Spalding from September until January, covering a maternity leave. This vibrant and well-established school offers a supportive and collaborative environment where staff are committed to delivering high-quality education. With a strong focus on pupil achievement and development, there is potential for this role to lead to a more permanent opportunity for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full responsibility for planning, preparation, and marking
• Delivering engaging and structured lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
• Supporting pupil progress and preparing pupils for end of KS1 expectations
• Maintaining high standards of behaviour and classroom management

Pre-requisites:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
• Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and assessment expectations
• A positive, enthusiastic, and organised approach to teaching
• Excellent classroom management skills and ability to build strong relationships
• An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one), along with relevant references and the right to work in the UK
