Finance Assistant (Temporary Contract - Potential to Become Permanent) Location: Office-based (with potential for hybrid working over time) Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm (Full Time) Salary: £16.00 - £20.00 per hour Contract: 6-8 weeks initially, with the possibility of a permanent opportunity The Opportunity We are currently supporting a client in the recruitment of a Finance Assistant to join their team on a short-term basis. This role has been created to support an ongoing project within the finance function, offering a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, systems, and cross-functional teams. This is a hands-on position where you will play a key role in ensuring financial data is accurately managed, reported, and communicated across the wider business. Key Responsibilities Support the finance team with a live project, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met Extract, review, and transfer data within a project management system Analyse and manipulate data using detailed spreadsheets Produce clear and accurate reports for internal stakeholders Share relevant financial information with the appropriate teams across the business Liaise with managers and departments to ensure data accuracy and alignment Maintain strong attention to detail across all financial processes About You Previous experience in a finance or accounts-based role is desirable Strong Excel and data handling skills, with the ability to work with detailed spreadsheets Confident communicator, able to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels Highly organised with excellent attention to detail Comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to manage workload in a fast-paced environment
