<p>We are partnering with a highly respected advanced engineering organisation operating at the forefront of <strong>mission-critical electronics and high-reliability systems</strong>. Supplying into aerospace, defence, space and specialist industrial markets, this business is known for precision, innovation and engineering excellence.</p>
<p>They are now seeking a <strong>Senior Electronics Design Engineer</strong> to join their R&D function, taking ownership of complex electronic system design from concept through to production release.</p>
<p>This is a technically demanding role suited to an experienced engineer who thrives in high-integrity, regulated environments.</p>

<h2>The Role</h2>
<p>You will be responsible for leading the design and development of analogue and digital electronic systems used in high-performance applications.</p>
<h3>Key Responsibilities:</h3>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Full lifecycle electronic design (concept, schematic capture, PCB layout oversight, validation, production release)</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Analogue and mixed-signal circuit design (low-noise, precision measurement, power management)</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Digital design including microcontrollers, FPGA or high-speed interfaces</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Design for EMC compliance and regulatory standards</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Support environmental qualification (temperature, vibration, shock testing)</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Conduct design reviews, FMEA and risk mitigation</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Support transition from prototype to manufacturing</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Work cross-functionally with mechanical, systems and firmware engineers</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers</p>
</li>
</ul>

<h2>Required Experience</h2>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Degree qualified in Electronic Engineering or related discipline</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>8+ years’ experience in electronic design within aerospace, defence, instrumentation or similar high-reliability sector</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Strong analogue design capability (signal conditioning, power electronics, sensor interfaces)</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Experience with PCB design tools (Altium, Mentor, or similar)</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Understanding of EMC/EMI mitigation techniques</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Experience working to regulated standards (e.g. aerospace or defence compliance frameworks)</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Familiarity with FPGA or embedded systems advantageous</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Experience taking products from concept to production</p>
</li>
</ul>
