<p><strong>Transportation Project Engineer/Project Manager</strong></p>
<h3><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></h3>
<ol>
<li>
<p><strong>Project Management & Design:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Lead the design and management of transportation and natural resource engineering projects.</li>
<li>Involve NEPA permitting, engineering report writing, and construction management.</li>
<li>Coordinate with engineering staff, contractors, suppliers, and clients.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>
<p><strong>Use of Design Software:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Utilize computer-assisted engineering and design software for preparing project documentation.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>
<p><strong>Technical Communication:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Write technical reports, specifications, and correspondence for diverse audiences.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>
<p><strong>Collaboration & Approvals:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Coordinate with government agencies, clients, and other professionals to obtain design approvals.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>
<p><strong>Team and Project Management:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Manage internal teams and ensure projects are executed profitably.</li>
</ul>
</li>
</ol>
<h3><strong>Job Requirements:</strong></h3>
<ol>
<li>
<p><strong>Education:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>BS/BA in Engineering or a related field.</li>
<li>At least 5+ years of experience in transportation or natural resource project design.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>
<p><strong>Licensure:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Professional Engineering (PE) license in Montana, Idaho, Washington, or the ability to obtain within 6 months.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>
<p><strong>Project Oversight:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Manage scope, timelines, budgets, and client expectations.</li>
<li>Oversee planning, design, and construction of projects, creating construction documents, and handling construction administration.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>
<p><strong>Independent & Team Work:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Ability to work independently and collaborate in a team environment.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>
<p><strong>Strong Work Ethic & Engineering Understanding:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Excellent work ethic and a solid understanding of engineering principles.</li>
</ul>
