Job DescriptionRole PurposeAs a Personal Shopping Private Host, you will be at the heart of our new Luxury Shopping destination, where world-class hospitality meets personal shopping.The Private Host is responsible for delivering an exceptional, seamless hosting & hospitality experience within 40 Duke Personal Shopping . Acting as the first point of welcome, the role ensures every customer interaction reflects our standards, values, and luxury service synonymous with Selfridges. The Private Host works closely with our Personal Shoppers, Concierge, and Restaurant teams to curate memorable, personalised experiences for our most valued customers. Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer ExperienceWarmly welcome customers and introduce them to their private suite, clearly presenting amenities and services available.Anticipate customer needs and personalise each visit to create a refined, effortless experienceMaintain discretion and professionalism at all timesSuite Presentation & StandardsAdhere to the opening and closing checklistsEnsure all suites and shared spaces are impeccably presented and aligned with Selfridges brand and service audit standards.Collaborate with Operations to ensure suites are free of stock after each client visit.Conduct regular checks to maintain cleanliness, ambience, and attention to detailFood & Beverage ServicePresent our menu with confidence and prideServe drinks and food with a natural hospitality flairEnsure service is timely, attentive, and tailored to individual preferencesMaintain excellent product knowledge of food and beverage offeringsStock Management & OrderingPlace and manage orders to ensure suites are always fully stockedMonitor usage, rotate stock, and minimise wasteLiaise with relevant teams to maintain consistency and availabilityCollaboration & Experience CurationWork closely with Personal Shopping, Concierge and Restaurant teams to create seamless, end-to-end client journeysShare knowledge of 40 Duke events, Brand activations, Restaurant offerings and luxury services to enhance client experiences.Coordinate bespoke requests, celebrations, and elevated momentsSupport special events, activations, and PS appointments.About youHospitality-led, with a genuine passion for hosting and guest experienceExperienced in luxury hospitality, private clubs, hotels, or high-touch environmentsNaturally warm, discreet, and attentive, with strong emotional intelligenceDetail-focused and proud of maintaining immaculate spaces and standardsCalm, organised, and confident managing hosting and service flowAn ambassador of Selfridges’ brand, values, and service culture
