This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy and supportive team, helping to recover costs associated with damage to network assets.<br><br>This role is offered on a <strong>temporary-to-permanent basis, with the opportunity to move into a permanent position subject to performance and business requirements.<br></strong><br><strong>The Role</strong><br><br>As a <strong>Litigation Co-ordinator</strong>, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of network damage claims and public liability invoices, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to progress claims from initial notification through to resolution.<br><br>You will use your communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills to investigate claims, resolve disputes, recover costs, and provide excellent service to customers and third parties.<br><br><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><ul><li>Manage a portfolio of network damage claims and public liability invoices ranging from £100 to £1 million+.</li><ul><li>Review repair activities and ensure all recoverable costs are identified and accurately recorded.</li><li>Communicate technical information clearly to customers and third parties.</li><li>Handle queries and disputes from solicitors, insurers, loss adjusters, utilities, local authorities, contractors, and members of the public.</li><li>Produce professional written correspondence, including letters and emails.</li><li>Manage telephone enquiries and provide updates on claim progress.</li><li>Liaise with engineers, contractors, and operational teams to establish details of damage incidents and repair works.</li><li>Progress claims effectively and escalate matters to external legal providers where required.</li><li>Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders.</li><li>Attend meetings with third parties and their representatives when required.</li><li>Ensure claims are handled in line with legal protocols, company procedures, and health and safety requirements.</li><li>Support and assist new team members where required.</li><li>Provide regular updates and reports on outstanding claims.</li><li>Process third-party invoice payments over the phone.</li><li>Provide additional support to the wider team, including call overflow assistance.</li></ul></ul><br><strong>About You</strong><br><br>We are looking for an organised and confident individual who enjoys working with people, solving problems, and managing a varied workload.<br><br><strong>The successful candidate will have:</strong><br><ul><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><ul><li>Strong attention to detail and the ability to make informed decisions.</li><li>Excellent planning and organisational skills.</li><li>Experience working in administration, business support, claims, or customer service.</li><li>The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.</li><li>Confidence dealing with customers, including handling difficult or challenging conversations.</li><li>Strong IT skills, including experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.</li><li>The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.</li></ul></ul><br><strong>Essential Requirements<br></strong><ul><li>Minimum of <strong>2 A Levels</strong> (or equivalent).</li><ul><li>Previous experience in administration, customer service, claims handling, complaints, or business support.</li></ul></ul><br><strong>Desirable Experience:<br></strong><br>Experience or knowledge in the following areas would be beneficial<br><ul><li>Claims management or legal processes.</li><ul><li>Energy, utilities, or network repair environments.</li><li>Case management systems.</li><li>Coaching or mentoring colleagues.</li><li>Industry legislation and guidance, including NRSWA, HSE requirements, Limitation and Latent Damage Acts, and ESQCR 2002.</li><li>Systems such as OMS, Solcase, GIS, or Oracle.</li></ul></ul><br>For more information please contact <strong>Cathryn Smedley</strong> on <strong>0113 246 9339. </strong>
