We look forward to meeting you.   The Role The role of the Project Management – Manufacturing & Business Specialist involves setting up standards for ensuring production reliability, as well as managing the organization, synchronization, and dialogue across various levels both inside and outside the company. This role oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as a liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.   The analyst will pinpoint possible hazards and weaknesses that could impact the timeline or quality of performance. They will also support the relevant equipment divisions within the organization by managing their respective production contracts. This ensures that all obligations related to the product delivery standards are not only fulfilled but surpassed.   Key Responsibilities: Provide on-site coverage for NNS suppliers, traveling 75% of the time or greater, and support extended periods on-site. Facilitate discussions with NNS, Navy, and supplier leadership at all levels. Review project status, budgets, and manage schedules, preparing status reports. Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem-solving with project managers, line managers, and clients. Evaluate and implement strategies that lead to measurable enhancements in these areas. Offer direction, insights, and assistance to the equipment divisions in evaluating the potential hazards and advantages of both current and prospective manufacturing agreements. Ensure that production operations risks are collected, prioritized, and mitigated. Resolve issues with struggling suppliers. Must Have Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of relevant exempt experience; Master’s Degree and 4 year of relevant professional experience One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications: NNS Apprentice School graduate Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience Nice to Have Strong familiarity with manufacturing and operations and comfort in shop environments. Solid understanding of operations management best practices, continuous improvement, process mapping, and bottleneck identification. Strong communication skills. Experience in Supply Chain Management, Production Planning, and/or Lean Manufacturing. Six-Sigma certification, Auto-Cad and Integraph
