Adele Carr Recruitment is delighted to be working on behalf of a well-established and forward-thinking legal services organisation to recruit an experienced Legal Cashier / Bookkeeper. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing finance team within a modern, technology-driven legal environment.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day financial administration of legal accounts, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and full compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing sales invoices and maintaining accurate billing records
- Managing the accounts inbox and responding to queries in a timely manner
- Liaising with fee earners and providing financial information as required
- Preparing and submitting payment requests for approval
- Maintaining financial records in line with regulatory requirements
- Performing regular bank reconciliations and monitoring balances
- Posting transactions and maintaining the general ledger
- Supporting wider cashiering duties within the finance team
- Assisting with ad hoc tasks and finance projects as required
- Ensuring compliance with legal accounting rules and best practices
Key Requirements
- Previous experience in a Legal Cashier or similar role
- Conveyancing experience is essential
- Strong working knowledge of Xero
- Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
