JOB SUMMARY
Field based position has direct hands-on responsibility for grooming and mentoring work quality and timely completion of assigned tasks of a retail remodel. A flexible schedule with limited notice to accept assignments as needed. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a new store and remodel work in retail environments. To achieve this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily the primary role of this job is to build and improve the output of the team through the following:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
• Ensuring new hires receive adequate training to complete basic merchandising responsibilities.
• Identify deficiencies in needed skillsets and provided training for merchandisers to create well balanced teams.
• Ensure that team leads have supervisory skills to successfully lead their teams and achieve daily goals created by client. Where needed provide mentoring and training to make the leads more successful.
• Work with new or struggling Team Leads to achieve a level of performance that meets or exceeds expectations.
• Lead by example, actively engaging and working with all levels of store team.
• Identify merchandisers and leads that have the ability to advance to the next level and provide development training to help them succeed.
• Provide positive communications with client management team to ensure that team output meets the clients’ expectations. Address any shortcomings with SPAR supervisor team and DM.
• Document performance issues and provide positive performance feedback to the DM.
• To provide needed support and act as a temporary fill-in wherever needed to advance the project.
• 100% time deployed to project to actively participate in continuous improvements regarding team development.


• ADDITIONAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES OR EXPERIENCE
• Demonstrate proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and email communication
• Must be capable of facing challenges and meeting expectations in work completions, use independent judgment and exercise discretion as needed
• The working environment will be working on the road to active projects.
• Demonstrate self-motivation and organization skills that allow productivity
• Must be able to manage and develop a team and communicate progress or challenges.
• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION: This position requires minimum High School education *Equivalent Experience may be substituted if asterisk present.

EXPERIENCE: This position requires a minimum of 1 - 5 years' experience. Experience in mass merchandising is preferred.

COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have a working knowledge of and active access to computers, including the Internet, email, and competent with Microsoft applications.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position does have supervisory responsibilities. Those who manage others are expected to have the ability to lead one or a team of individuals to achieve department goals.
