The New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH), a recognized leader and innovator in public health and mental hygiene services nationally and internationally, seeks a dynamic Reporting Analyst o join its challenging, fast-paced division of Finance. The Division of Finance has central responsibility and authority for policy analysis, program development, performance tracking and improvement, financial management, resource maximization, and technical assistance. Finance helps to ensure that programs and administrative operations have the information, analysis, funding and technical capacity to deliver critical services effectively and meet DOHMH’s objectives. Position Description: The selected candidate for this position under the direction of the Financial Systems Manager and with wide latitude for independent initiative and judgment is responsible for leveraging data analysis and research for public health initiatives to inform decision-making and resource allocation. This role involves the collection, analysis, and interpretation of health and financial data to identify trends, evaluate public health program effectiveness, and drive evidence-based decisions. The successful candidate will possess strong analytical skills, expertise in data visualization tools, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO: Research and analyze public health data from electronic health records, billing systems, and other relevant sources. Develop and implement research standards to ensure high-quality and reproducible research. Stay up-to-date on latest methodologies in data analysis and research. Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations summarizing research findings on data relevant to city public health initiatives.
