Senior Guidewire Developer – Insurance Solutions Expert

As a Senior Guidewire Developer – Insurance Solutions Expert, you will be working for our client, a leader in insurance industry technology. You will contribute to designing, developing, and maintaining advanced insurance solutions, focusing on Guidewire PolicyCenter and BillingCenter, while supporting the evolution of microservice architectures. Your main responsibilities: Design solutions implemented within an agile development team Develop and implement features and changes in Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and Everest system Enhance the microservices architecture supporting monolithic Guidewire applications Collaborate on developing concepts for business initiatives Create and implement new architecture solutions Ensure high quality and standards of the developed software Support acceptance testing and deployment processes Participate in sprint planning, review, and retrospectives Assist in stabilizing and maintaining existing solutions Maintain and update technical documentation repositories You're ideal for this role if you have: 5+ years of experience in software development, particularly in the insurance or financial domains Strong knowledge of Guidewire ecosystem – PolicyCenter (preferably BillingCenter & Everest, >4 years) Proficiency in Gosu (over 4 years), Java/JEE (>5 years) Experience with Spring, Hibernate, SQL (Oracle database), Git, Maven Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Kafka, ElasticSearch, REST APIs Familiarity with TDD, BDD, DDD, and microservices architecture principles Knowledge of Linux, application servers, CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Github Actions Ability to scale applications and optimize performance Good understanding of object-oriented and functional programming paradigms Knowledge of design patterns (GoF) and software development best practices Open-minded approach to working in a mature Scrum team, embracing DevOps culture It is a strong plus if you have: Experience with AI tools like Github Copilot Knowledge of IT security best practices Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, AWS Guidewire certification
