About the Role

Job Title: Shop Laborer Job DescriptionThe Shop Laborer supports the production of vacuum-formed plastic and composite parts by performing assembly, deburring, finishing, bonding, and fastening tasks in a manufacturing environment. This role follows detailed work instructions and quality standards to help ensure all components meet stringent aerospace requirements while contributing to general shop maintenance and organization.Responsibilities<ul><li>Assemble vacuum-formed plastic and composite parts according to work instructions and specifications.</li><li>Deburr and finish machined and formed components to meet quality and dimensional requirements.</li><li>Bond and fasten parts using approved methods and materials as specified in production documentation.</li><li>Use basic hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete daily tasks.</li><li>Follow detailed work instructions, production travelers, and quality standards to ensure compliance with aerospace requirements.</li><li>Inspect work for accuracy, completeness, and conformance to specifications, reporting any issues or defects.</li><li>Assist in general shop maintenance, including cleaning work areas, organizing tools, and maintaining a safe and orderly production environment.</li><li>Support overall production flow by performing a variety of tasks as needed in the shop.</li><li>Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines while working in the production facility.</li><li>Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.</li></ul>Essential Skills<ul><li>Ability to use basic hand tools and power tools safely and correctly.</li><li>Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.</li><li>Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.</li><li>Willingness to learn and perform a variety of tasks within the shop.</li><li>Ability to stand for extended periods during the shift.</li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as part of daily duties.</li></ul>Additional Skills & Qualifications<ul><li>6 months of experience in manufacturing or aerospace (preferred but not required).</li><li>Experience with general labor or production work in a shop or factory environment.</li><li>Familiarity with deburring and finishing processes for machined or formed components.</li><li>Comfort working with mechanical components and basic production equipment.</li></ul>Why Work Here?Employees benefit from a comprehensive package that supports both their professional growth and personal well-being, including a strong benefits offering with low weekly cost medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as an HSA plan.
