About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and skilled Social Worker to join the Frontline Team at The Civic Centre in Uxbridge. This ongoing locum role offers a competitive hourly rate of £37.52 and flexible working arrangements to support a healthy work-life balance. While the core hours are 9am–5pm, Monday to Friday, there is flexibility around start and finish times, including options such as working four longer days (8am–6pm) or part-time hours.

What you will do:
Manage a caseload of clients while maintaining accurate records in line with council procedures and data protection regulations.
Conduct client interviews in various settings including homes, schools, and hospitals.
Use established social work models to assess needs and develop effective intervention plans.
Work collaboratively with partner agencies such as police, healthcare professionals, and other services to ensure comprehensive support.
Participate in regular supervision to reflect on practice and support colleagues and trainees.
Prepare reports for court proceedings and provide expert testimony when required.
Contribute to team and service planning by offering innovative ideas and strategies.
Engage in continuous professional development to maintain high standards of practice.
Key skills and experience:
Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
Minimum two years post-qualification experience.
Strong decision-making abilities supported by evidence-based practice.
Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to work independently with complex cases and provide professional advice where needed.
