Your mission
Project Leadership & Client Management- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication, alignment on objectives, and high client satisfaction
- Lead multiple concurrent early discovery projects from initiation through delivery
- Translate client goals into actionable project plans, timelines, and deliverables
- Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
Scientific Oversight- Oversee and guide scientific activities across:
- Hit finding (e.g., protein production, screening, assay development, structure determination, in silico screening)
- Hit-to-lead progression
- Collaborate with cross-functional scientific teams (e.g., medicinal chemistry, biophysics, computational chemistry, structural biology, biochemistry)
- Ensure scientific rigor, data quality, and strategic alignment with client objectives
- Interpret and communicate complex scientific data to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Resource & Operational Management- Coordinate internal resources across multiple departments to ensure timely project execution
- Monitor project progress, budgets, and scope; adjust plans as needed
- Facilitate internal meetings, track milestones, and ensure accountability
- Support capacity planning and resource allocation in collaboration with department heads
Business & Strategic Contribution- Contribute to proposal preparation, project scoping, and budgeting for new business opportunities
- Support business development activities by providing scientific and operational insights
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiency within project workflows
Your profile
- Demonstrated experience in early discovery stages: hit identification through lead optimization
- PhD in Chemistry, Biology, Pharmacology, or related life sciences field preferred
- MSc with significant relevant experience may be considered
- 3–7+ years of experience in drug discovery, ideally within a CRO, biotech, or pharmaceutical environment
- Proven track record of managing complex, cross-functional scientific projects
- Experience in client-facing roles strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of drug discovery workflows and decision-making processes
- Excellent project management skills (planning, risk management, prioritization)
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with project management tools and scientific data systems
