About the Role

North Lincolnshire Council is seeking an experienced Senior Child Protection Social Worker to join the Case Management Team. This is a key safeguarding role, working with children and families at risk of harm, abuse, or neglect. About the Role As a Senior Child Protection Social Worker, you will take the lead on complex child protection cases, providing oversight and guidance to junior staff, and ensuring that all work complies with statutory requirements and best practice standards. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage complex child protection cases Safeguard and promote the welfare of children at risk of harm Provide guidance, support, and supervision to junior social workers Conduct assessments, develop safety and care plans, and monitor outcomes Ensure statutory compliance with child protection legislation and local policies Attend strategy meetings, child protection conferences, and court proceedings Work collaboratively with partner agencies to protect children and support families About You We are looking for a Senior Social Worker who: Has significant experience in child protection within statutory children's services Demonstrates strong leadership and decision-making skills Has excellent analytical, assessment, and written communication skills Can manage complex cases effectively while supporting less experienced colleagues Works collaboratively within a multi-agency environment Is resilient, organised, and committed to safeguarding children Working Arrangements Full-time role, office-based within North Lincolnshire May require travel to visits and meetings across the local authority area Essential Requirements: Social Work Qualification - Degree or equivalent At least 3 years' experience as a social worker within children's services Social Work England Registration Driving license and access to own vehicle If you are interested in this position, please send your CV to Adarsh Parihar at or call on 020 8152 8922.
