Assembly Operative

Abatec are currently recruiting for a well-established company operating in the remanufacturing sector based in Weston-super-Mare. The company is known for producing high-quality, reliable products, supporting both trade and retail customers.

This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with experience or a strong interest in engineering, assembly, or manufacturing. You will play a key part in the production process, assembling components, working from technical drawings, and maintaining high quality standards throughout all stages of production.

What’s in it for you?

• Full time role, 3-day weekend every 2 weeks
• No weekends
• Pay from £13.50 per hour
• Weekly pay, every Friday
• Overtime available for additional earnings

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out assembly using technical and engineering drawings
• Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
• Follow work instructions and production schedules
• Perform inspection, testing, and quality control tasks
• Adhere to all health and safety procedures in a workshop environment

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or engineering setting
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings
• Skilled in the use of basic hand and power tools
• Strong attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
