Field Operations Support

Our client, a leading utility company in the Washington, DC area, is seeking a Field Operations Support professional to provide critical administrative and operational assistance to Field Operations and System O&M field crews. This role plays a key part in ensuring field work is properly documented, tracked, and completed efficiently while supporting day‑to‑day field activities.

 

This role is initially onsite in Springfield, VA for training, and then transitions to a hybrid WFH schedule.

• Prepare and assemble job packets for field crews, including service records, maps, and supporting documentation
• Enter, update, and track maintenance and work orders in internal systems
• Assist with permit requests and Miss Utility locate ticket documentation
• Track field work and orders to ensure accuracy, compliance, and completion
• Maintain logs, rosters, spreadsheets, and other operational tracking tools
• Scan, file, copy, and organize field and maintenance records
• Communicate with internal teams and external customers as needed
• Provide general clerical and administrative support to Field Operations

• Utility industry experience is helpful but not required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
