<strong>Manufacturing Cell Leader <br><br></strong><strong>Location:</strong> Clevedon, North Somerset (Transport required) BS21<br><strong>Salary:</strong> £60,000 - £65,500 per annum (dependent on experience)<br><strong>Monthly Earnings:</strong> Approx. <strong>£5,000 - £5,460 per month before tax</strong><br><strong>Working Hours (37.5 Hrs):</strong><br>Monday to Thursday: 14:30 – 00:30<br>Friday: OFF<br><strong>Contract Type:</strong> Temporary ongoing, monthly paid / salaried.<br><strong>Other:</strong><br><ul><li>Holiday: 25 days + 8 Bank Holidays (pro rata, accrued)</li><ul><li>Monthly company bonus</li><li>Start dates available as soon as possible</li><li>Monthly Pay</li><li>Due to the location, candidates should live locally to Clevedon or have access to their own transport.</li></ul></ul>Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Manufacturing Cell Leader to join a leading manufacturing company based in <strong>Clevedon</strong>. The company specialises in producing advanced vacuum and exhaust management systems used within the semiconductor industry.<br><br>This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced manufacturing leader to take ownership of one or more manufacturing cells, leading teams and driving improvements across <strong>Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery (SQCD)</strong> performance measures.<br><br>The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational targets are achieved through effective leadership of people, processes and systems, while developing a culture of continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing environment.<br><br><strong>Key Duties</strong><ul><li>Lead and manage assigned manufacturing cells, ensuring performance against <strong>Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery (SQCD)</strong> targets and implementing improvement plans where required.<br><br></li><ul><li>Take full ownership of cell activities relating to <strong>people, processes and manufacturing systems/data management</strong>.<br><br></li><li>Manage daily manufacturing operations from <strong>component receipt through to final assembly completion</strong>, working closely with Team Leaders, Manufacturing Engineers, Coordinators and Operators.<br><br></li><li>Ensure production capacity, resource planning and workforce capability are aligned with production schedules and business requirements.<br><br></li><li>Create and communicate recovery plans where component availability, production issues or process challenges impact delivery commitments.<br><br></li><li>Develop and embed a culture of <strong>continuous improvement</strong>, using Lean principles and structured problem-solving techniques to improve operational performance.<br><br></li><li>Strengthen the Cell organisation through effective leadership, recruitment support, objective setting, competency development and workforce planning.<br><br></li><li>Coach, mentor and support team members through regular feedback, development planning and performance review processes.<br><br></li><li>Create cross-functional problem-solving teams to identify root causes and deliver sustainable improvements.<br><br></li><li>Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with company procedures, statutory legislation, Risk Control Elements and ISO 45001:2018 requirements.<br><br></li></ul></ul><strong>What We’re Looking For</strong><ul><li>Proven experience leading, motivating and developing teams within a manufacturing environment.<br><br></li><ul><li>Significant experience working within a multi-disciplinary manufacturing or production setting.<br><br></li><li>Strong track record of delivering operational improvements and achieving production targets.<br><br></li><li>Demonstrated leadership capability including coaching, mentoring, recruitment and performance management.<br><br></li><li>Experience managing large, multi-skilled manufacturing teams.<br><br></li><li>Practical experience implementing Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement activities.<br><br></li><li>Strong problem-solving ability with experience working collaboratively across different functions.<br><br></li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.<br><br></li><li>Good IT literacy, including confidence using Microsoft Office applications and manufacturing systems.<br><br></li><li>Excellent organisational and time management skills.<br><br></li><li>Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.<br><br></li><li>Self-motivated, proactive and resourceful with a focus on achieving results.<br><br></li></ul></ul>If you’re interested in this opportunity, please apply with your up-to-date CV.<br><br>For more information, contact Pertemps Technical Bristol on 0117 929 4422 (Option 3)
