<p data-start="0" data-end="111"><strong data-start="0" data-end="39">Job Title: Environmental Consultant</strong><br data-start="39" data-end="42" /> <strong data-start="42" data-end="109">Location: London</strong></p> <p data-start="113" data-end="352">Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading global engineering and environmental consultancy in their search for an <strong data-start="245" data-end="273">Environmental Consultant</strong> to join their award-winning Sustainable Land and Resource Management Practice.</p> <p data-start="354" data-end="771">This is an exciting opportunity for an <strong data-start="393" data-end="421">Environmental Consultant</strong> to work alongside industry leaders within a specialist team of material management, waste, and contaminated land experts. You will contribute to high-profile UK and international infrastructure projects across transportation, energy, water, and the built environment, while developing your career in a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.</p> <hr data-start="773" data-end="776" /> <p data-start="778" data-end="790"><strong data-start="778" data-end="790">THE ROLE</strong></p> <p data-start="792" data-end="939">As an Environmental Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering material management and waste-related services across a variety of projects.</p> <p data-start="941" data-end="1221">You will be responsible for preparing technical reports, undertaking site-based work, and supporting project delivery from initial investigation through to implementation and verification, building your expertise as an <strong data-start="1160" data-end="1188">Environmental Consultant</strong> within a multidisciplinary team.</p> <hr data-start="1223" data-end="1226" /> <p data-start="1228" data-end="1252"><strong data-start="1228" data-end="1252">KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p> <p data-start="1254" data-end="2005">* Preparing a wide range of reports including Material Management Plans (MMPs), verification reports, permit applications, and contaminated land assessments<br data-start="1410" data-end="1413" /> * Designing, organising, and undertaking site investigations and waste assessments<br data-start="1495" data-end="1498" /> * Auditing contractors to ensure compliance with environmental permits and waste legislation<br data-start="1590" data-end="1593" /> * Managing the implementation and verification of MMPs on client sites<br data-start="1663" data-end="1666" /> * Liaising with clients, stakeholders, regulators, and contractors<br data-start="1732" data-end="1735" /> * Working collaboratively with environmental scientists, engineers, and planners<br data-start="1815" data-end="1818" /> * Supporting project delivery to ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard<br data-start="1922" data-end="1925" /> * Ensuring compliance with Health &amp; Safety procedures and managing site safety</p> <hr data-start="2007" data-end="2010" /> <p data-start="2012" data-end="2038"><strong data-start="2012" data-end="2038">WHAT WE&#8217;RE LOOKING FOR</strong></p> <p data-start="2040" data-end="2754">* Degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. Environmental Science, Geology, Geography, Chemistry, or similar)<br data-start="2145" data-end="2148" /> * Working towards Chartered Membership of a relevant professional body<br data-start="2218" data-end="2221" /> * Experience within a consultancy or similar environment<br data-start="2277" data-end="2280" /> * Understanding of material management and waste practices on development sites<br data-start="2359" data-end="2362" /> * Knowledge of relevant industry guidance (e.g. Definition of Waste Code of Practice, WM3)<br data-start="2452" data-end="2455" /> * Experience undertaking site-based work including sampling, monitoring, and logging<br data-start="2539" data-end="2542" /> * Strong organisational skills and willingness to undertake fieldwork<br data-start="2611" data-end="2614" /> * Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel and work on-site as required<br data-start="2694" data-end="2697" /> * A proactive, collaborative, and enthusiastic approach</p> <hr data-start="2756" data-end="2759" /> <p data-start="2761" data-end="2780"><strong data-start="2761" data-end="2780">WHAT&#8217;S ON OFFER</strong></p> <p data-start="2782" data-end="3087">* Competitive salary and benefits package<br data-start="2823" data-end="2826" /> * Hybrid and flexible working arrangements<br data-start="2868" data-end="2871" /> * Opportunity to work on major UK and international infrastructure projects<br data-start="2946" data-end="2949" /> * Supportive, collaborative, and multidisciplinary team environment<br data-start="3016" data-end="3019" /> * Ongoing professional development and support towards Chartership</p> <hr data-start="3089" data-end="3092" /> <p data-start="3094" data-end="3192" data-is-last-node="" data-is-only-node=""><strong data-start="3094" data-end="3192" data-is-last-node="">Interested?
