For our Application Software Team we are looking for a:
Senior C++ Software Developer for Test and Verification Software for High-Frequency Applications (m/f/x)
What will expect you in this role:Independent conceptual design, implementation, and maintenance of high-quality application software for provisioning, serial testing, and documentation of devices for analog, digital, and optical satellite communication
Close collaboration with the embedded software department or, depending on your skill set, management of complete software projects, including device firmware
Independent execution of prototype tests, mainly in collaboration with the hardware development
Independent handover of software tools to the serial production department, including documentation and training
Configuration of frequency converters using XML files
Implementation of software-based data analysis, including SQL database connection, with the goal of quality assurance and increasing production capacity
Shared responsibility for the technical team's objectives: adherence to deadlines, budget adherence, quality, performance, maintainability, and scalability
What you need to be successful in this roleCompleted studies in computer science, electrical engineering, physics, or a comparable qualification
Solid knowledge and at least 3 years of professional experience in software development with C/C++, especially in object-oriented programming
Extensive practical experience with the Qt framework
Proficient use of the XML file format, ideally with other serialization formats such as JSON or YAML
Good knowledge in Git, unit testing, and continuous integration
Good knowledge of high-frequency technology is a significant advantage
Experience in operating and controlling measuring instruments, such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, etc., is desirable
Good knowledge of the I2C and SPI bus systems is desirable
Basic knowledge of Python 3 is desirable
Independent work style and analytical thinking skills
Good written and spoken German and English
