Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Texas licensed Occupational Medicine physicians for a locum tenens opportunity in Dallas, Texas. This role involves providing comprehensive work-related injury evaluations, performing pre-placement DOT physicals, and managing urgent care walk-ins within diverse private and governmental settings.

Opportunity Highlights

  • Max rate: $180/hour for Physicians, $130/hour for APPs

Schedule Details

  • Shifts may be up to 5 days per week
  • Typical hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, depending on location
  • Flexibility required based on clinic and client needs

Clinical Scope

  • Diagnosis and treatment of work-related injuries
  • Conducting pre-placement DOT physicals, public safety, and surveillance physical examinations for private companies and government agencies
  • Managing urgent care patients on a walk-in basis
  • Performing in-office procedures such as wound care, ear irrigations, and minor procedures
  • Communicating with employers and providing clear medical guidance
  • Completing all documentation accurately and timely in accordance with regulatory and clinic standards

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree
  • Active Texas medical license
  • Certification to perform DOT physicals (if applicable)
  • Experience in occupational medicine, urgent care, or similar outpatient settings
  • Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
  • Ability to work shifts up to 5 days a week, with flexibility as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience with pre-employment screenings and worker’s compensation cases
  • BLS certification
