Position Summary
The Senior
FAT Specialist will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing
Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for Sidel equipment and complete lines before
shipment to customers. This role ensures that all systems meet design
specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements prior to delivery.
Key
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and execute FAT activities for packaging and filling equipment or complete production lines.
- Review project documentation, technical specifications, and test protocols to ensure readiness for FAT.
- Coordinate with engineering, automation, quality, and project management teams to resolve technical issues.
- Lead FAT sessions with customers, ensuring transparency, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
- Document test results, deviations, and corrective actions; prepare FAT reports and sign-off documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance FAT procedures and testing efficiency.
- Provide technical feedback to design and manufacturing teams for product improvements.
- Ensure compliance with Sidel’s safety, quality, and operational standards during all FAT activities.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers or technicians involved in FAT operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering , Plastic & Manufacturing Engineering, CIPET
- 10–12 years of experience in Factory Acceptance Testing, commissioning, or equipment validation—preferably in packaging, beverage, or process industries.
- Strong understanding of automation systems (PLC, HMI, SCADA) and mechanical/electrical integration.
- Proven experience in customer-facing FATs and technical documentation.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional and multicultural environment.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
