About the Role

We are looking for an exceptional candidate to join the Local Authority Housing Options service as a full time Housing Options Advisor on a 12-month basis, covering maternity leave. This role will focus upon delivery of casework and customer care to those who require help under the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 to secure suitable housing. You will work within a busy multidisciplinary Housing Options and Homelessness service, assisting households under the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 to prevent and relieve homelessness.  A key focus will be working with accommodation providers, including private landlords, social housing and supported accommodation providers to build up strong relationships to increase access to affordable housing options.  Previous experience of delivering housing advice and working with homelessness client groups is desirable, however full training will be provided.  The successful candidate will be proficient in time management and casework skills, ensuring high-quality customer care at all times. The contract location is The Portal, Ellesmere Port, the role itself is Hybrid /flexible involving office-based, working from home, working at other council offices, and offsite, such as visiting clients across the district.
