Your Impact

The Food Quality Assurance Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring that every product leaving our facility reflects PGI Foods' commitment to quality, consistency, and food safety. Through routine testing, effective communication, and continuous improvement efforts, you'll help maintain customer trust and uphold the standards that define our brand.

What You'll Do

• Perform routine quantitative and qualitative testing on kettle products, including consistency, pH levels, particulate distribution, and other quality measurements before packaging.
• Conduct sensory evaluations to ensure products meet established standards for flavor, texture, appearance, and overall quality.
• Support the development and maintenance of quality standards for soups, sauces, and specialty food products.
• Maintain accurate records of testing activities, findings, and corrective actions.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Research & Development, and Commercialization teams to address quality concerns and improve product consistency.
• Identify opportunities to enhance production processes and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Recognize non-conformances and communicate findings to production teams and supervisors.
• Assist with root cause analysis and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor quality trends and report risks or concerns to leadership.
• Support fellow QA team members and contribute to a culture of accountability and excellence.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who shares our passion for producing great food and our commitment to doing things the right way.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree in Food Science, Culinary Arts, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control within the food manufacturing industry is preferred.
• Experience working with soups, sauces, or similar food products is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and quality systems such as HACCP and SQF is a plus.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.
