<p><strong>About the role</strong></p>
<p><strong>Neulinx </strong>is looking for a <strong>Founding Engineer </strong>to work with an exciting <strong>Y Combinator-funded startup</strong> building browser-based agent technology to securely and reliably automate complex web tasks for modern organisations.</p>
<p>Backed by £3m in funding, the company already has <strong>world-renowned clients</strong> on board across the <strong>financial services and crypto sectors</strong>, and is now hiring its first non-founder engineer to help scale the product and platform.</p>
<p>This is a genuine<strong> founding engineer </strong>opportunity. Engineers in London and San Francisco take on high-ownership roles, working directly with customers to invent new ways to securely and reliably automate web workflows, shaping product direction and building the core infrastructure that keeps global companies secure.</p>
<p>The business plans to hire <strong>three additional software engineers</strong> as it continues to grow.</p>
<p><strong>The role</strong></p>
<p>You’ll work closely with the technical founders to design, build and scale core systems. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, learning quickly, and contributing across the stack in an early-stage startup environment.</p>
<p>As a <strong>Founding Engineer</strong>, you’ll have meaningful ownership from day one and a real voice in technical and product decisions.</p>
<p><strong>Tech stack: </strong>React, TypeScript, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Electron, Puppeteer</p>
<p><strong>What you’ll be doing</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Building and shipping production features across frontend and backend</li>
<li>Designing and developing secure, reliable browser-based agents</li>
<li>Working on Electron applications and supporting platform services</li>
<li>Collaborating directly with customers to understand problems and shape solutions</li>
<li>Partnering closely with the founders on architecture and product direction</li>
<li>Helping establish engineering best practices as the team scales</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>What we’re looking for</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>1+ years of commercial software engineering experience, or equivalent high-quality experience</li>
<li>Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn quickly</li>
<li>Solid foundations in JavaScript and TypeScript</li>
<li>Comfortable working across the stack in a fast-moving startup environment</li>
<li>A good degree or Master’s in Computer Science or a scientific discipline</li>
</ul>

<li>Experience with browser automation or agent-based systems</li>
<li>Exposure to Electron or desktop applications</li>
<li>Previous early-stage startup experience</li>
