<h2><strong>Senior Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) & Materials Engineer </strong></h2>
<strong>Aircraft/Aerospace/Space Experience<br />

<u><em>ONSITE in Houston Texas is required</em></u><br />

<p><strong>Overview</strong> Serve as a senior NDE and materials engineer supporting spacecraft / NASA programs with expertise in methods such as <strong>X‑ray</strong>, <strong>ultrasonic</strong>, and <strong>eddy current</strong> inspection. Lead development, qualification, and assessment of NDE procedures, systems, and personnel certifications.</p>
<h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Review and approve <strong>NDE procedures</strong>, inspection reports, and NDE system documentation.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Analyze and resolve <strong>NDE‑related issues</strong>, driving closure actions across programs.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Prepare and deliver <strong>technical reports and presentations</strong> for program and engineering forums.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Develop NDE requirements, implement procedures, perform lab inspections, and generate inspection reports.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Support operation and maintenance of NASA’s <strong>state‑of‑the‑art NDE laboratory</strong> and associated systems.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Participate in ERBs, IPTs, and other technical forums, providing expertise on metallic and nonmetallic materials.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Advise vendors on <strong>qualification and acceptance testing</strong> to ensure compliance with NASA requirements.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Represent NASA NDE/M&P engineering at government and industry technical interchange meetings, working groups, and conferences.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Perform occasional travel and additional duties as assigned.</p>
</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>
<p>Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or related field) with <strong>5–10 years of relevant experience</strong>.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Demonstrated experience in <strong>NDE procedure development</strong>, assessments, and issue resolution.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Knowledge of NDE systems, industry standards, and audit requirements.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Proficiency with <strong>MS Office</strong> and strong oral/written communication skills.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Ability to critically evaluate NDE processes and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.</p>
</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>Preferred Qualifications</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>
<p>B.S. in engineering or science with <strong>5–10 years of industry experience</strong>; formal NDE education desirable.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p><strong>ASNT Level III</strong> certification (preferred but not required).</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Experience supporting NDE development, testing, and evaluation for <strong>NASA or aerospace programs</strong>.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Familiarity with metallic and nonmetallic materials, including welding, additive manufacturing, composites, and repair processes.</p>
</li>
<li>
<p>Knowledge of fracture control, materials compatibility, and aerospace design allowables for spacecraft, aircraft, and GSE.</p>
