Our expertise spans across commercial, industrial, residential, hotel, and retail sectors. Current projects include high-profile hotel developments, central London office redevelopments targeting Operational Net Zero, and BREEAM Excellent industrial projects.</p>
<p>We are seeking a motivated and skilled <strong>Building Physicist/Sustainability Consultant</strong> to join our clients team in their Manchester office. <h2>Day-to-Day</h2>
<p>Your daily activities will include:</p>
<ul>
<li>Collaborating with Clients and project teams to deliver energy and sustainability solutions.</li>
<li>Conducting detailed energy and thermal performance modelling.</li>
<li>Preparing comprehensive reports and documentation to support planning and certification requirements.</li>
<li>Staying updated on industry standards and regulations to ensure compliance.</li>
<li>Contributing to the development of innovative sustainability strategies for a variety of projects.</li>
</ul>
<h2>Responsibilities</h2>
<p>As a Building Physicist/Sustainability Consultant, you will be responsible for:</p>
<ul>
<li>Preparing Energy Statements to support planning applications.</li>
<li>Conducting Part L Energy Modelling (SAP/SBEM).</li>
<li>Performing Overheating Assessments.</li>
<li>Producing technical reports in support of BREEAM certification.</li>
<li>Conducting Life Cycle Assessments.</li>
<li>Developing Net Zero Strategies for projects.</li>
<li>Providing guidance on Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards (MEES).</li>
</ul>
<h2>Qualifications</h2>
<h3>Essential Requirements:</h3>
<ul>
<li>Proven industry experience in a similar role.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Part L Energy Modelling (SAP/SBEM).</li>
<li>Experience with Dynamic Thermal Simulation.</li>
<li>Strong technical report writing skills.</li>
<li>Excellent numeracy skills.</li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Desirable Skills:</h3>
<ul>
<li>Experience using DesignBuilder software.</li>
<li>Accredited Energy Assessor qualification.</li>
<li>Life Cycle Assessment experience.</li>
<li>Master’s degree in Sustainable Architecture or a related field.</li>
<li>Knowledge of BREEAM certification processes.</li>
</ul>
