Estimation Engineer

When a production engineer starts at EDT, the focus will be initially with support in tender stage to get acquainted with the dredging industry, calculation methods, … . But experiencing the dredging operations on board is an important part of the learning curve which will be initiated very soon. Gradually more or more exposure will be given providing expert support to the project in execution as well.

You will work as a part of the EDT team in our HQ in Zwijndrecht, near Antwerp (Belgium). Close follow-up, coaching and guidance will be provided of course by Senior colleagues in our team.
Next to production engineering, the EDT team in activity line Dredging provides support as well in Geology, Geotechnics, Coastal Engineering, Environmental engineering and Wear &Tear expertise. This makes the EDT team highly divers in expertise and as such complementary to cover many expert aspects in supporting our projects.

Project document controller (temporary)

As a Project administrator / Document Controller, you will be responsible for the project management system. You will provide a document control service, maintaining effective control of all project documentation, consistent with company standards, processes and project eDMS systems (Aconex or Sharepoint).

Category buyer chartering

As Category Buyer Chartering you will be responsible for a correct execution and follow up of the entire chartering process for certain segments of vessel types chartered to support DEME’s activities worldwide. You will be part of a team consisting of 5 colleagues.

As a Lead Engineer - New Builds within the Fleet Investments department, you play a key role in the technical realization of DEME’s new build vessels and asset development projects. You are responsible for coordinating and steering the engineering scope from concept development through to detailed design and construction support.

Working closely with the Project Manager, you ensure that the technical solution delivered is fully aligned with the initial requirements, meets performance expectations, and is realized within the defined timeline. You act as the central engineering lead, integrating inputs across disciplines and guiding both internal and external engineering partners.

Depending on the project size, you either act as the right hand of the Project Manager on large, complex projects, or take full ownership of smaller engineering projects from A to Z.

Technical Supervisor Fleet Interventions

As a Technical Supervisor for our Fleet Interventions department, you are at the heart of technical interventions on our vessels and assets worldwide. You prepare and supervise dry-dockings, maintenance, repair, mobilization and upgrade scopes on site, making sure safety, quality, planning and budget remain fully under control. Working closely with project teams, vessel crews, yards and subcontractors, you turn preparation into smooth execution and solve issues where they arise. This is a hands-on rotational role with limited office presence and strong international exposure, offering the opportunity to work across different vessels, locations, cultures and technical disciplines while continuously expanding your expertise.

Project Manager - New Builds

As a Project Manager - New Builds you are responsible for the end-to-end delivery of large and complex investment projects, ranging from new vessel builds to major equipment and conversion projects. You take ownership from early concept development through to final delivery and integration into the fleet.

Operating at the intersection of technical, financial, and operational domains, you ensure that projects are executed safely, within budget, on schedule, and in line with performance expectations. You act as the central point of coordination across multiple stakeholders, translating business needs into robust technical solutions and driving projects towards successful completion.
