About the Role
Job Responsibilities:
Quickly evaluate arriving patients to determine the severity of their condition and prioritize care based on urgency.
Continuously record blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen levels, and cardiac rhythms.
Gather accurate histories from patients, family members, or paramedics and document findings in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
Initiate Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and basic life-saving procedures (defibrillation, CPR, intubation) during medical crises.
Start intravenous (IV) lines, draw blood for lab tests, and administer prescribed medications.
Clean and dress wounds, apply splints for broken bones, and assist doctors with minor surgical procedures.
Requirements:
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (diploma, associate, bachelor, or graduate degree)
• Current, active, full, unrestricted RN license (any U.S. state/territory)
• Minimum 2 years RN experience with at least 2 years ED experience
• BLS, ACLS, PALS — required and must be current
• TNCC — preferred
• Ability to care for neonate through geriatric patients across the full acuity range in an ED setting
• Rural, CAH, Tribal, or limited-resource experience is a strong plus
