Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Payroll Assistant to support daily payroll and administrative operations. The ideal candidate will have strong data entry skills, excellent attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. This role involves assisting with payroll processing, maintaining employee records, and performing general administrative duties to support the office and finance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform accurate data entry for payroll and employee records
- Assist with payroll processing and timekeeping records
- Maintain confidentiality of payroll and employee information
- Verify payroll data for accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare and update spreadsheets, reports, and documentation using Microsoft Excel
- File, organize, and maintain payroll and administrative records
- Answer phones, respond to emails, and assist with general office communications
- Support onboarding paperwork and employee documentation
- Assist with other administrative and clerical duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous payroll, administrative, or office experience preferred
- Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
