Are you passionate about innovative fashion design and eager to make your mark in the fast-paced world of high street retail? My Client is a leading ladieswear supplier working with major fashion retailers across Europe and are seeking a talented Jersey Designer to elevate their ladies' jersey dress collections. Based within a dynamic, collaborative environment, you'll have the opportunity to design on-trend, designs that resonate with young, fashion-conscious consumers. This is a key role aimed at strengthening their design team and delivering compelling product ranges for clients like New Look and ASOS.
Main Responsibilities will include:
- Designing innovative ladies' jersey dresses with a formal yet youthful aesthetic
- Interpreting market trends and translating them into fresh, commercially successful designs
- Collaborating closely with product managers and production teams to ensure designs meet quality, cost, and time parameters
- Contributing to seasonal collections that align with brand identities and customer expectations
- Bringing insight and enthusiasm to the design process, ensuring each piece reflects a modern, elevated style
Person Specifications:
- Proven experience designing ladies' jersey dresses for high street or online retail accounts
- A youthful, fashion-forward handwriting with a more formal, yet contemporary edge
- Supplier experience
- Strong portfolio demonstrating innovative, trend-led design skills
- Experience working on brands similar to ASOS, New Look, or comparable high street retailers
- Knowledge of current market trends, fabrics, and trims relevant to the jersey dress segment
- Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams
