About the Role
Our client is looking for a Head of IT to lead the support of existing and development of new systems and technologies required to support Business development and growth.
MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
• Management of the Development, Infrastructure and Implementation Team
• Budget Planning and Revenue Management
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB
• Lead and manages our client’s capability to ensure robust system stability and development of a fit for purpose support strategy
• Monitor and report on performance and progress against the IT strategy and operational performance, producing monthly performance reports to the various boards
• Plan, organise, and manage operations and employees to ensure the stable operation and resilience of the organisation’s IT infrastructure.
• Ensure delivery of the design, installation, upgrading, operation, control, maintenance and effective use of the network, server, telephony and desktop infrastructures
• Lead the team to ensure excellent customer service is provided to all internal and external customers
• Lead the budget setting process for IT and ensure that financial implications are considered for all initiatives
• Provide expertise in the areas of development methodology and service delivery
• Ensure compliance with company and other relevant standards/ regulations at all times
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Excellent team management and leadership skills with experience of managing a department of at least circa. 30 staff
• Significant vendor and supplier management experience
• Excellent analytical, numerate skills and an attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• The ability to plan and prioritise and work to tight timelines
• Effective decision making capability
It would be extremely advantageous if applicants had a Software Development background.
