About the Role

<p style="text-align: justify"><strong>Arcadis DPS Engineering are seeking an EHS Project Engineer, to assist with engineering projects, support regulatory compliance, and drives continuous improvement in safety and sustainability practices in a drug product manufacturing facility located in Dundalk. The contract is offered on a 12-month basis initially.</strong></p> <p><strong>Responsibilities </strong></p> <ul> <li>The successful candidate will bring strong technical expertise in high-hazard programs, chemical management, and contractor EHS management, supporting capital projects, facility upgrades, and process changes.</li> <li>Integrate EHS requirements into capital projects, facility upgrades, and process changes.</li> <li>Conduct Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs) and ensure closure of EHS-related actions prior to commissioning.</li> <li>Perform field walkdowns to identify hazards and verify engineering controls.</li> <li>Support criticality assessments for equipment, utilities, and processes impacting safety and compliance.</li> <li>Ensure engineering controls (e.g., LEV, isolators, interlocks) are designed and implemented effectively.</li> <li>Support PHA and other PSM related assessments.</li> <li>Support PSDP and PSCS responsibilities to ensure compliance under the role of the client.</li> <li>Lead development and implementation of High Hazard Programs (e.g., Construction Safety, ATEX, Process Safety Management).</li> <li>Support Biosafety programs including containment strategy validation.</li> <li>Support Hazardous Waste and Chemical Inventory systems in compliance with pharmaceutical regulations.</li> <li>Schedule and coordinate Industrial Hygiene Monitoring (air sampling, noise, exposure assessments).</li> <li>Support Machine Safety and LOTO programs for equipment installations and maintenance.</li> <li>Ensure<span style="color: black"> compliance with EHS regulations including HSA and EPA.</span></li> <li><span style="color: black">Implementation of Construction, Machinery and other EHS Regulations.</span></li> <li><span style="color: black">Prepare for and support regulatory inspections and audits.</span></li> <li><span style="color: black">Safety &amp; Environmental Programs</span></li> <li><span style="color: black">Develop and maintain assigned EHS programs and provide support for other programmes.</span></li> <li><span style="color: black">Lead incident investigations and implement corrective/preventive actions.</span></li> <li><span style="color: black">Conduct internal audits and support external inspections.</span></li> <li><span style="color: black">Deliver technical EHS training to projects, engineering, operations, and laboratory staff.</span></li> <li><span style="color: black">Promote safety culture through awareness campaigns and toolbox talks.</span></li> <li><span style="color: black">Maintain EHS documentation including risk assessments, SOPs, and change control records.</span></li> <li><span style="color: black">Track and report EHS KPIs including near misses, project status, RAMS and PTW</span></li> <li><span style="color: black">Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Operations to ensure alignment on EHS goals.</span></li> <li><span style="color: black">Participate in cross-functional teams for process improvement and sustainability initiatives.</span></li> </ul> <p></p> <p style="line-height: normal"><strong><span style="color: black">Requirements</span></strong></p> <ul> <li>Minimum 5 years’ EHS experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or chemical manufacturing environments supporting projects and operations.</li> <li>Proven track record supporting capital projects, facility upgrades, and equipment installations with integrated EHS controls.</li> <li>Proficient in conducting Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSRs), hazard identification, and verification of engineering controls.</li> <li>Strong working knowledge of Construction Safety regulations, Process Safety Management (PSM) principles, and regulatory compliance (HSA, EPA).</li> <li>Experience managing industrial hygiene monitoring, hazardous waste, chemical inventories, and environmental permitting.</li> <li>Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to work cross-functionally across Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams.</li> </ul> <p style="text-align: justify"><strong>Why Join Arcadis?</strong> At Arcadis, we empower individuals to excel because your contributions matter.
