<p><strong>Assistant Engineering Manager </strong><br /><strong>Location: Redcar<br /> </strong><strong>Salary: £42,000 &#8211; £48,000 per annum</p> <p></strong><strong>The Role of the Assistant Engineering Manager</strong><br />We are recruiting for an experienced Assistant Engineering Manager to support the day-to-day running of a busy bus depot in Redcar.<br />This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior PSV/HGV Technician or Engineering Supervisor looking to step up into management, or an existing Assistant Manager seeking a new challenge.<br />You&#8217;ll play a key role in ensuring the fleet is maintained to the highest standards of safety, compliance, and reliability, while supporting the Engineering Manager in delivering operational excellence.<br /> <br /><strong>Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Engineering Manager</strong></p> <ul> <li>Support the Engineering Manager in overseeing depot engineering operations</li> <li>Supervise and lead a team of PSV/HGV Technicians and Engineers</li> <li>Ensure full compliance with <strong>DVSA regulations</strong> and company policies</li> <li>Plan and allocate maintenance, servicing, and repair work</li> <li>Monitor fleet availability, reliability, and workshop productivity</li> <li>Assist with audits, inspections, and compliance documentation</li> <li>Support recruitment, training, and development of engineering staff</li> <li>Ensure all health &amp; safety procedures are always followed</li> <li>Work closely with Operations to support service delivery</li> </ul> <p> <br /><strong>What We&#8217;re Looking For from the Assistant Engineering Manager</strong></p> <ul> <li>NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance</li> <li>Experience within a bus, coach, or HGV environment</li> <li>Previous supervisory or team leader experience</li> <li>Strong knowledge of DVSA standards and compliance</li> <li>Good organisational and leadership skills</li> <li>A hands-on, proactive approach</li> </ul> <p> <br />If you&#8217;re ready to take the next step in your engineering career and apply for <strong>Assistant Engineering Manager</strong>, we&#8217;d love to hear from you.</p>
